FAQ’s & Info
Hiring a photographer can be scary, especially if it’s your first time! Am I a real person? Yes. Will they actually show up? Also, yes.
This FAQ page should answer any questions you have and hopefully stomp out any concerns, as well.
In a nutshell, I’m a real human. I promise.
FAQ’s
-
You're in the High Desert, will you drive to other Southern California areas?
Yes. Palm Springs, Rancho Cucamonga, the beach, and San Diego are all beautiful places and within driving distance.
During our first phone call, we can talk about locations.
I don’t charge extra for driving.
-
I absolutely love my images, can I purchase more after the ordering appointment?
Yes, of course!! I will keep your images for one year.
You can order additional photo books, prints, or wall art within that time frame.
After one year, however, you will need to schedule a new session.
-
I only want digitals, can I get those instead. Is it cheaper?
I’m a professional photographer, and my passion is printing. I want to put your legacy on the wall.
Your images will be professionally printed by a company that is not available to consumers. Their job is to print beautiful images that will last for generations. I don’t want you printing at a big-box place or a drugstore. The quality is not there, and the colors do not print correctly.
You will receive a digital file of each purchased image(s) to use for social media.
Here’s a video of a few things I offer you.
-
What should I wear? Do we all match?
We will discuss clothing options during the consultation call. But, in the end, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
You don’t want to wear 6” stilettos if you can’t walk in them. And don’t wear a three-piece suit if you don’t love dressing up.
However, you do want to wear clean, wrinkle-free clothing. Read this blog post for some ideas. Wrinkles are impossible to edit out. ;)
Long story short: no matchy matchy for family photos. Dress comfortably. If you can’t decide, bring both.
-
Are you available on weekends?
Yes.
My schedule is more hectic during the week, so weekends work the best for me!
However, if you need a weekday or an evening, get in touch. I am flexible.
-
How much do you cost? I don't see pricing on your website.
I charge a $150 creation fee for each booking. This is for my time and materials. After that, you only invest in what you want.
If you want a large art piece to display over your couch, or multiple images of each child.
I offer metal prints, canvas, framed art, gorgeous acrylic, and photo albums. It can get overwhelming, so I don’t offer individual pricing on my website.
During our call, we’ll decide what you want, and I’ll share pricing then.
You do receive a digital file to use on social media for every purchased image. Click here for my pricing page.

Why should I book you for my photo session?
I’m not like other photographers—I’m a cool photographer ;) And you don’t only get digitals with me.
I’m a passionate print artist, and I create legacy wall art. I’m not a sad beige lady, we’ll laugh, I’ll probably choke on water, and then trip over my own pants. I’m not a serious person at all. We will have fun!
I also want you to walk past your gorgeous portrait every day, in your home. My portrait sessions are filled with laughter, confidence, and celebration, and they are completely tailored to YOU.
When kids see their portraits in the home, it boosts self-esteem, and adults could use a little confidence boost, too.
I guide you throughout the entire experience, from start to finish. I’m a full-service photographer.
My goal is to create a memory that lives in your home.

I've never done a portrait session before. How should I pose?
It is my job, as the photographer, to pose you, tell you where to place your hands, which direction to look, and how to position your feet. Am I bossy? Yes.
I will guide you during the whole session; you just show up and relax. Sounds nice, right?
On the flip side, if you have some poses in mind, we can do those as well.
But, please keep in mind, poses you see online aren’t always exactly flattering.

Why do you keep saying photo session? Is it different than a photoshoot?
I am on the bandwagon of removing the words “photoshoot” and “headshot“ from our vocabulary.
Shooting signifies guns—aim, pull the trigger, and it's over. Quick and simple. I'm not against guns, but photography using a camera is not the same. ;)
This photo session isn’t just another photoshoot; it’s elevated, it’s a legacy, it’s uniquely customizable to you. It’ll be exciting and fresh, and I offer a boutique-style experience.
It’s a customized photo session- not a photoshoot.
A headshot doesn’t sound as fancy as a business portrait, now does it? Business portraits and branding sessions are an elevated experience, too.
I’m a “Go Big or Go Home” kind of gal! And, honey, your photo session will be BIG!
